Charles Williams

Mr. Charles Williams was born in a little known rural community in North Carolina, called Scottland Neck. He grew up in a very well known town in New Jersey, named Montclair. Even though, Mr. Williams has adopted the community of Harlem, in New York City to be his place of residence.

"I am presenting myself to you as one in our community who is expressing a concern for those who are in need of inclusive, but exclusive outreach assistance," Mr. Williams states. He said, "I have always marveled at the field of human relations. This passion follows me throughout life's endeavors. This form of assistance is also the answer to my deep compassion to aide in lifting the burdens of others. I presently give this assistance as a social service/educator. In this capacity I aide those seeking to resolve their mental anguish and negative emotional impulses which confuse and distort their perspective, ultimately stifling their motivation toward social and economic empowerment. Since these boundary issues result from a plethora of psycho-Social-educational disturbances, I believe anyone trying to understand the principles necessary for existence can become very frustrated and at the least bit confused. Support surrounding education, about self, short and long range directives and personal empowerment can assist in unraveling and spreading out the inconsistencies that lead one to be confused about life's endeavors."

As a totally Visually impaired Educator and consultant, Mr. williams performs extensive lectures and workshops, for disabled and non-disabled children and adults. He presents well orchastrated, comprehensive programs with the extensive skills he has amassed in his academic studies.

Studying At Columbia Graduate School of Social Work he developed methodology in client evaluations, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, leading and co-leading groups, dyad counseling, triad counseling and workshops.

Within the field of education at Fordham Graduate School of Education he studied the foundations of education, teaching of reading, classroom organization and management, classroom communication and leadership, educational theory and practice, human relationship environments, leadership theories and stratagies for teaching adults.

At Union and New York Theological Seminaries, in Divinity, he has acquired skills in the first and second testament, ethics, religious education, systematic theology, spiritual counseling, early church and Christian history.

Within the area of computer logic and adaptive communications, he has studied and acquired informational skills surrounding Typing, Computer Systems, Computer Parts, Computer Literacy, Computer Hardware and Computer Software.

Charles says, "the command given to CDE to go out and assist the world is never needed more than today, because the disabled are continually being challenged by the opposing environment and the laxity of a serious commitment from those in power. It is incumbent of CDE to stand in the gap as a representative regardless of the status quo, the in thing, or what can make everyone happy. A comprehensive social service center is the communities only alternative. It has to be exerted as the operating platform for the community’s mind transformation and body transfusion. In this endeavor, CDE's goal is to make more avenues of accessibility for the disabled population. They are the one segment of our community who are not being seen or heard. I, personally, would like to assist them in creating and developing opportunities in accessability so they will be able to compete in and outside of their community."
